ExactET Recommended
ExactET has recommended this SMART Controller because it uses local, real-time and true (ASCE*) ET Weather Data to automatically adjust the irrigation schedule for changing climatic conditions. The weather stations are all specifically designed for water management and are maintained on a monthly basis to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the ET Data.
The weather stations measure all the required climatic variables (solar radiation, temperature, wind, humidity, and rainfall) used in the Irrigation Association endorsed American Society of Civil Engineers - standardized ET equation.
The New Standard in Weather-Smart Irrigation
This simple, powerful irrigation management solution works
With virtually and controller, converting a conventional irrigation
system into a weather-smart one that adjusts itself according to
accurate real-time weather data. The ET Manager helps to
maintain the optimum moisture balance in your soil. As the
weather changes, the ET Manager receives updates automatically
every hour from ExactET and only allows the controller to
water when needed. The result: significant water savings, deeper
root systems, and a healthier landscape.

How ET Manager Works
Is an add-on to any existing irrigation controller, preventing
watering (via a common interrupt) until moisture loss in the
landscape reaches a predetermined amount (i.e. acts much like
the fuel warning light to your gas tank). ET Manager calculates
moisture loss based upon:
-
Hourly Rain and ET data received wirelessly from
ExactET’s local weather network.
-
Site specific information (eg. slope, plant type, root
depth, soil type, sprinkler system) programmed into
ET Manager.
